Our website is always OPEN 7 days a week....

A late night service is offered for appointments to discuss bridal flowers on a Tuesday.  Please ring to make an appointment.

Meet the Team

Paula
That's me!!  I am the owner at About Flowers and I try to keep the shop as family focused as possible.  My husband, Jay, does find himself delivering on our busiest days and my daughter Rebecca is very keen on making flowers for her Nana's grave.  She is in “training” at the moment, only five more years and we can officially put her on the books!!

It is my mission to make our flower shop the very best for value and design in our town and with that in mind, every bouquet of flowers that we send out has to be perfect.

My jobs include brushing up, giving out the jobs, doing the website, brushing up some more, doing bridal consultations and yet more brushing up.  I am also chief buyer of flowers, balloons, wedding accessories and gift stock... so if I ever need a bit of retail therapy, that's how I get it.

Oh, and on top of all that, I also play with our flowers a lot!!

Heather

Heather comes to work for a break.....  She has five children at home and she is a fantastic Mum but her daughters are all very kind, they let me pinch her quite a bit when we are busy.  The older daughters even get a few hours themselves in the shop!!

As you can imagine Heather is a fantastic multi-tasker, and can organise the shop and me in under 5 minutes, without even breaking a sweat.  The girl is a superwoman I swear...  She is also our chief balloon decorator and has brought many new designs to our shop porfolio of balloons.

Heather has a couple of years experience in floristry and has picked up our style at About Flowers very quickly is one of our most treasured designers.

 

Hannah

Hannah is our “new girl”, our trainee Florist.  And, what a trainee florist she has become, already doing fantastic shop displays, her arty ways are really adding to our portfolio of design work.  Hannah is working towards her floristry qualifications and I don't think it will be too long before she is entering competitions and winning them hands down!!!

She is also a very hard worker and has become a really fun part of our permanent team.

Gemma

Although Gemma is not a permanent member of staff anymore (boo hoo), we do try to pinch her back as much as we can and she is our trusted wedding designer that we can call on when we have lots of floral designs to make.  

Megan (her 1 year old) won the fight for her Mum, but the battle is not over yet Megan, I might get her back full time yet!!!  

She is our part time, temporary casual superwoman which is why she is on our team list....
